It's that time again. Come and ride with us! How would you like to feel the fresh bay breeze in your hair, get some exercise, see all the beautiful scenery, and be with your friends and neighbors, all while helping out the community? If so, join us on September 6th for the 7th Annual Skipjack Bike Tour! Are you a hard core rider who is up for a long ride? Go full force on a 65 mile trip, which will take you south down Route 13 along the beautiful waterways and marshes. For a little less intense ride, choose the 30 mile trip! Or, would you rather take it easy and enjoy the views? If so, you can choose the shorter 15 mile ride! The distance is up to you. Whichever one you choose, you'll get a T-shirt, have access to 4 rest stops, EMS (hopefully you won't need them!), Sag Wagon, and last but not least, you'll get to savor the fabulous brownies!

And the Award Goes to...

Congratulations to Donald Ford, J.R. Walters, and Ryan Evans! These three brave firefighters were recently awarded the Gladhill-Thompson Award for an outstanding act of heroism. awardsThe three men responded to a call for a boater who had gone missing in the icy January water. Using the recently acquired rescue boat, and with the help of a police helicopter, they located the missing waterman after a long search through the dark winter night.
